SISSETON, S.D. — Coteau des Prairies Health Care System has signed a management
services agreement with Sanford Health. The agreement provides access
to Sanford Health’s wide array of service offerings that will bring
value to the community.
“The purpose of our health care system is to offer the best patient
care possible,” said Terry Jaspers, board chairman of Coteau des
Prairies Health Care System. “We believe that collaborating with
Sanford Health in Sisseton enables our patients and staff to have the
access to care and services that is second to none.”
The 10-year agreement will take effect on September 1. After five years,
Sanford Health and Coteau des Prairies Health Care System will discuss
the collaboration to ensure expectations from both organizations are being met.
“We have had a great relationship with the Coteau des Prairies Heath
Care System for many years and we’re excited for the opportunity
to work more closely,” said Eric Hilmoe, vice president of operations
for Sanford Health Network. “Sisseton sits in the heart of the Sanford
footprint today which means patients will have access to services locally
and within the region. Health care happens best when close to home and
at Sanford we use this as one of our guiding principles when partnering
